Short-fused US singer, Chris Brown, is headed back to jail after getting kicked out of the Malibu rehab facility he's been residing in for the past four months, TMZ.com reported.

"I can confirm Chris Brown was arrested on a warrant," a Los Angeles County Sheriff source confirmed to the NY Daily News.

Seeking treatment for anger management, Brown reportedly violated the center's "internal rules" Friday morning, sources told the gossip site, but the infractions apparently did not include violence or drug use.

Cops said the singer was "cooperative when taken into custody" and is being held without bail at the Los Angeles County jail.

According to a probation report released last month, the 24-year-old singer had been recently diagnosed with bipolar II disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder and "severe" insomnia. Brown also has a history of past substance abuse.

The facility said at the time of the report that Brown had been a model patient since he checked back into the program on Nov. 20, following an incident where he tossed a rock through the window of his mother's car.

The Grammy winner was expected to remain in in-patient treatment as his lawyers worked to resolve his misdemeanor assault case in Washington, D.C.

Brown was arrested just blocks from the White House on Oct. 27 after 20-year-old art student Parker Adams claimed the singer and a bodyguard punched him in the face outside the W Hotel. The R&B star pleaded not guilty to the misdemeanor assault charge.

That arrest, however, caused the court to revoke Brown's probation - part of his sentence for the infamous Feb. 2009 assault of then-girlfriend Rihanna.

In a February court hearing, Judge James Brandlin rejected a prosecutor's motion to throw Brown behind bars pending the probation violation. The judge said Brown appeared to be showing progress in his rehab program and should remain in the facility for the foreseeable future.

Brown's rep has declined to comment on the matter.
