LUNGILE Makhubo, 41,  is a very sad man as he claims he was tricked into a marriage that never worked and feels like he fell in love with a ghost. He's married, he said, to no one.

He married the love of his life only a month after meeting her.

They met at Madela Kufa near Liliba in Tembisa, Ekurhuleni, where Lungile still lives.

Now she is gone.

"I met Prisca in 2006 and fell in love with her," he told Daily Sun.

"We went out for more than three weeks but she insisted that we could not have sex until we got married.

"In the fourth week we decided to tie the knot at Home Affairs in Pretoria so that we could live freely," said Lungile.

After they came back to celebrate taking their love to the next level, Prisca disappeared.

"She told me that she was going to Kempton Park to buy me something special that day."

That was the last time he saw her.

"I stayed behind in our shack and cooked for her," said Lungile.

That day he had dinner alone.

"I believe she just wanted the status of being married and nothing else from me.

"I need help so that we can be divorced once and for all.

"She was never my wife anyway."

He said he visited Home Affairs many times to try and divorce Prisca but nothing worked.

"They told me that I must track her down and come with her to the office, but she is nowhere to be found.

"I don't know where she is or where she lives now."

Home Affairs didn't answer the People's Paper query at the time of going to print.
