Bulawayo residents have been accused of being cruel to caring  President Robert Mugabe by not showing interest in  government sponsored projects.

Vice President Phelekezela Mphoko on Sunday claimed that Mugabe (92) is having sleepless nights crafting methods to empower Zimbabweans.

However, Bulawayo residents are shunning such interventions.

"The President is having sleepless nights and you take such projects for granted, why lisenza ulunya so?" mourned Mphoko while donating over 4,000 chicks for a poultry project in Nketa.

"I can't waste my time on people who are content with their lives. There are people in Mukumbura (Mashonaland Central) who need such kind of projects but we have people here taking these things for granted," he added.

Mphoko has in the past month handing out chicks in Nketa n two occasions.

"I'm not a Vice President for Area five or Matabeleland but for the whole country. Therefore everyone countrywide is looking forward to us giving them such capital".
