"There are a number of artistes from here such as Jeys Marabini, Chase Skuza, Mokis Connection and my sister Sandra. But, where are they? Where are they? I am here and I am filling up this place but where are they?" he said.
He said he looked for the artistes and could not find them so that they could perform with him.
Fans in the amphitheatre gave cheers of appreciation as Macheso said this and laughed that he had noticed that Bulawayo artistes could not fill up the venue.
He then went on to play Mundikumbuke that sent the crowd into delirium.
Macheso got on stage at about 11.45pm and began his performance with Madawu amid wild applause from fans at the venue.
Macheso then introduced fans to his new dance Tora Bute, which was received by the fans with enthusiasm.
Fans, however, only got a glimpse of Macheso's new dance and clamoured for him to show it more.
Controversial dancer and former street-kid, Peter Kagomera played the bass guitar during that show much to the delight of the fans.
Kagomera was given an unspecified amount of money by a fan and quickly took the money and put it into Macheso's pocket for "safe keeping".
Macheso went on to perform songs such as Chikwambo, Tariro, Chimoko Changu, Wemakonzo, Tafadzwa and wrapped up the show with Kudzimamoto.
Female dance group, Girls La Musica, who seem to be Macheso's favourite supporting dance troupe, took to the stage and entertained the crowd. Their performance had the male revellers up on their feet but their female counterparts were trying their best to boo them off stage. Although experience-wise Macheso put up a sterling performance his act was no different from the one he did in Esigodini.
Fans who attended the Esigodini show said they expected something different from the Bulawayo show.
They said Macheso was becoming predictable and monotonous, and should look into adding more flavour to his act.
"I like Macheso, but he should spice up his act because the major difference with the show in Esigodini was that there were more people at the Bulawayo show," said Petronilla Shoko from Njube.
On the sidelines of the show, there was a scuffle that pitted two tall heavily built, light skinned women and a rival of the same stature over something that one of the light skinned women said.
Their male counterparts had a torrid time trying to separate them as they pushed each other. The two heavily built women then poured beer on their enemy before slapping her and disappearing into the night.
