As people are preparing for this year's Valentine's, shops around the city and patrons' favourite hangouts are also busy preparing for this year's month of love which they want to make an unforgettable one.
With the Valentine's fever rising, the city's first preference, cards and gift shops have already started preparing for the day.
In an interview, Cards and Gifts manager Naomi Ndlovu said this year's Valentine's Day would be very special as people were already eager to find out what the shop had to offer.
"We are still expecting some more stuff to be delivered next week Monday, but people had already started coming to find out what we have to offer," she said.

With the Valentine's fever gathering momentum most night clubs in the city are revamping for this special occasion.
The talk of the town is the DJ Tira Valentine's Special show. Red posters of DJ Tira around the city emphasise the colour of love and the five-star treatment patrons should expect from Horizon.
Walkers Pub and Restaurant is planning to make use of its conference room, which would cater for most love birds jamming to the sounds of love in style.
In an interview, the Walkers Pub and Restaurant manager Gesham Gara said patrons should expect nothing but exclusive nights until Valentine's Day.
"As Walkers Pub and Restaurant, we promise nothing but the best.
"There is a Valentine's Jump off with an exclusive touch of old school while patrons enjoy our Friday Specials," he said.
Gara also said they would be using the conference room next to the Pub and restaurant to cater for everyone.
"Walkers has always been the place to be for most patrons and we want to utilise the conference room where some of our patrons are going to be and that is where some of our DJ's would be doing what they know best," he said.

In an interview, one of the Basement Club DJ's, DJ Liscious Deep said the place will be filled with entertaining activities.
"Basement is planning to throw an unforgettable Miss Valentine's after party.
"There are also going to be Zappa and Amarula drinks on the house for the ladies," he said.

Hella Hella Entertainment and Promotions will be holding a Valentine's couples dinner, with the theme "Love Brewed in an African Pot" at the luxurious and prestigious Nesbitt Castle.
The organiser of the event Possenti Skhosana said the evening would be tailor made strictly for mature couples.
"The idea is to create an evening that would visit the good old days, remembering the small things that they used to do, the music that moved their souls, minds and their bodies, a night to reminisce on their love and more.
Each couple had memories of how they met; their wedding day," he said.
The Love Note of the evening would be from Jazz Invitation, one of Zimbabwe's most talented and well respected jazz bands.
There are varying opinions as to the origin of Valentine's Day. Some experts state that it originated from St. Valentine, a Roman who was martyred for refusing to give up Christianity. He died on February 14, 269 A.D., the same day that had been devoted to love lotteries. Legend also says that St. Valentine left a farewell note for the jailer's daughter, who had become his friend, and signed it "From Your Valentine". Other aspects of the story say that Saint Valentine served as a priest at the temple during the reign of Emperor Claudius. Claudius then had Valentine jailed for defying him. In 496 A.D. Pope Gelasius set aside February 14 to honour St. Valentine.
