Having spent five years in the music wilderness, the hip hop and kwaito group, GTI which is based in South Africa has released a new album "Back with a Bang".
The group’s last recording was "Untouchable", released in 2006.
But for many fans, who might have thought the Kwaito outfit had given up, the beat still goes on as the group has produced some hit songs on the new album, "This World" and "Do it yourselves", that are doing very well on the South African charts.
Band member and vocalist, Brian Sibanda says the group has improved and is now delivering polished performances.
Having been inspired by the founder group of kwaito "Amakwaito" of South Africa which emerged in the 1950’s, GTI made their first presence in the music industry when they recorded their first album GTI in 1998 which was recorded by RTP Records.
Their new album has a theme project "Do it Yourselves", which is a special message to Youths to be on the forefront of being responsible.
