She delayed her entry and provoked sharp reactions from the expectant crowd that had packed the Basement Club to witness her raunchy routines. So enthusiastic was the Bulawayo crowd comprising mostly of men as the "Bev mania" gripped the city during the day.

By 9:30pm the joint was packed to the rafters but the "saucy" Harare pole dancer - Beverly Sibanda, aka Bev and her sexy dancers - were yet to hit the dance floor.
At exactly, 11pm the crowd apparently lost patience as they waited for the trendy acrobatic dancer who never pitched resulting in them breaking into the protest song Int' oyiyenzayo siyazonda literally translated (we don't like what you are doing).
Finally when she strutted to the stage accompanied by her backing group - the Sexy Angels - it was game on!
One needed to be there to witness a rather different flair of entertainment in the second largest city.
What seemed to blow the imagination of many were the group's semi naked outfits that were extremely revealing.
The hot cherubs were clad in short pants and bras with their G-strings exposed.
The pole dancers had everyone hanging to every bit of the moment as they added another toss to their act.
Bev and her fellow dancers constantly called male fans on stage where they would strip them down to their under garments and perform some sexually suggestive routines, an act which kept the crowd awestruck.
But the act was not always going to be fantastic without a few displays of the controversial bottle act.
She, however, did a few theatrics using a popular brandy bottle and of course, a lager beer bottle, much to the excitement of the crowd who constantly pushed and shoved each other in order to get a better glimpse of the dancers.
But Bev and the Sexy Angels did not perform their favourites pole dancing because the club had no poles.
Basement manager Beulah Mutimbo said after the event: "It was a wonderful performance indeed. I think it's time that we also introduce poles on our stage so that groups like these can do their best," she said.
"This is just the beginning of more things to come, all it shows is that people need entertainment but they don't get it. But I am quite shocked by the turnout I haven't seen such a big crowd for a while," said Mutimbo.
Some revellers could be overheard saying if the city of Bulawayo could have diverse entertainment of such nature every weekend; people will have reason to spend their monies.
Night clubs in the city have disappointed most fun-loving devotees especially on weekends as they often rely on local disc jockeys to entertain them instead of live performing groups.
Many performing artistes have in the past described Bulawayo night club owners as "stingy" by offering peanuts for their performances, a move which has forced many to prefer sitting at their homes than perform for a song.
But, for the sake of pursuing their careers some have sadly moved to Harare where businesspeople are perceived to be appreciative.
