Johannesburg - The trial of convicted escapee Bongani Moyo and two others was expected to resume in the Pretoria Central Prison Court on Wednesday.
Moyo, Khumbulani Sibanda and Leon Ncube face charges of escaping from custody following a botched break-out last August.
They allegedly used prison overalls to scale a perimeter wall after escaping from the double-storey prison building, but they were seen by a newspaper vendor, who raised the alarm.
The trial was meant to resume last Wednesday, but a new magistrate had not been assigned to the case following the recusal of Magistrate Chris Chokoe in May.
Last month, Moyo was found guilty of escaping from the Pretoria Magistrate's Court on August 10 and was sentenced to three years imprisonment.
Earlier in June, Moyo was convicted in Johannesburg of escaping from a Johannesburg police station and was jailed for 14 years.
Pretoria Magistrate Len Miller refused to order that the two sentences run concurrently, as requested by Moyo's defence attorney. Escapee Moyo
