A 62-YEAR-OLD MAN on Wednesday brought his two sons to court accusing them of insinuating that he was in possession of goblins. He based his claim on the basis that they were continuously playing Alick Macheso's thought-provoking song Chikwambo at home
Zachariah Nyakudya said his sons Moses and Isaac blamed their misfortunes on the said goblins.
Zachariah bared it all at the Harare civil court where he was seeking a protection order against Moses and Isaac.
"They accuse me of being a witch and they think I have a goblin so at home they always play the song Chikwambo by Alick Macheso insinuating that I'm in possession of goblins," said Zachariah.
He went on to tell the court that he was unhappy because his sons were bringing traditional healers at his house.
"I am a Christian and I go to Johanne Masowe Church and I am not happy because these two are bringing n'angas at my house who are saying that they want to cleanse the family," he said.
However, the two said that they believed their father was involved in witchcraft because they had been informed by prophets.
"We did not go to n'angas, we went to his church and we consulted about the matter and that's when we were advised that he had goblins," said Moses and Isaac consented.
They also claimed that an evil spirit was speaking through their sister confessing that she was bewitched by their father.
"Our sister was married and was staying is South Africa, but she was brought back home by her husband because she is tormented by evil spirits believed to have been sent by our dad," they said.
Magistrate Renikah Dzikiti, who presided over the case, granted the reciprocal peace order which ordered the parties to resolve their family issues in peace.
