A HARARE widow is in trouble  with her in-laws after she fell pregnant while staying at her matrimonial home. The in-laws now want to evict her from the house. The feud spilled into the Harare Civil Court last week  with  the widow, Patricia Musandirire, seeking a protection order against her sister-in-law Tafadzwa Musandirire.

Patricia told the court that after her husband died, she stayed at the matrimonial home.

"I then fell pregnant to another man while at my late husband's house and this did not go down well with my sister-in-law who mobilised the whole family against me," she said.

"Since then she has been trying to evict me from my husband's house.

"She phones me shouting obscenities and calling me a prostitute in the presence of my children and this is affecting them."

She told the court that the house her late husband left is not yet registered.
"My sister in-law has no right to interfere in my sexual life and should not chase me away," she said.

The sister-in-law did not turn up for court and magistrate Mr Milton Serima granted Patricia a default judgment.

Mr Serima ordered Tafadzwa to observe peace towards Patricia and stop phoning her or evicting her without a court order.

Patricia was advised to register the estate forthwith.
