A Harare man recently appeared in court for allegedly quenching his sexual intercourse desire on a dog.

The 48-year-old man, Ben Shake of House No. 2069 Old Tafara was not asked to plead when he appeared before Harare Magistrate Fadazai Mutavayi.

The court heard that on 21 July, at around 9pm, Ben went to his neighbour's house, Leonard Masanga, where he started having sex with Leonard's dog, not knowing that his neighbour was watching.

Allegations are that Leonard caught his neighbour red-handed, playing the bedroom game with his dog and effected a citizen arrest on Ben after confronting him. Leonard later handed over Ben to the police.

Ben was remanded in custody to 30 July after State submitted that it was impossible to proceed to trial and applied that Ben be medically examined first.
