Zimbabwe is set to host the World Women University President's Forum which seeks to enhance the empowerment of women and encourage them to take up leadership roles in all sectors.
Women University Presidents and Vice Chancellors from across the world are set to converge in Harare next week for a global forum in which they will discuss the agenda of women empowerment through tertiary education.
The Chancellor of the Women’s University, which is hosting the forum, Professor Hope Sadza said the conference will unpack gender issues with regards to higher education as well as how sustainable development through university partnerships can enhance the empowerment of women for leadership roles.
The forum was launched by the Communications University of China in 2001 with the aim of pooling together strengths of women university presidents from all over the world as well as creating an international platform for these women to communicate, collaborate and share new ideas.
The forum has developed into a worldwide influential brand, drawing women who are at the helm of various universities as major participants.
