A hunt is on for three female rapists who allegedly kidnapped a Chiweshe man from his bedroom before forcing him to be intimate with each one of them.

According to police reports the 30-year-old man from Sangare village under Chief Chiweshe was last weekend kidnapped from his home before being driven to a secluded place where he was raped.

Mashonaland Central police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Petros Masikati confirmed the incident.

"The circumstances are that on April 6, at around 9pm the male victim was sleeping in his bedroom when three women knocked on the door.

"The complainant requested the people to identify themselves but he did not get an answer," he said.

"He eventually opened the door and the women forced themselves inside and quickly grabbed the victim and tied his hands with a rope. During that time, one of the women is alleged to have sprayed a chemical into the eyes of the man before they took him into a white car.

"After driving for a few minutes the women are said to have undressed the victim and forced him to be intimate with them against his will. The victim became unconscious and does not know what happened thereafter. He only woke up the following day at around 4am a kilometre away from his home and picked a religious book titled "Nharire Yemurindi" at the scene.

Asst Insp Masikati disclosed that investigations are ongoing and appealed to members of the public who have information that may assist the police to contact their nearest police station.
