A woman saved herself from rape by biting her attacker's tongue.

But a cop allegedly refused to open a case. She said he told her she should be bust for hurting the man's tongue!

Nobuhle Majozi (34) of KwaMashu' South Africa' said she was with her friends at Mgababa Tavern on Sunday.

On her way home she met a colleague of her boyfriend' who offered to walk with her as it was late.

"He told me how beautiful I was and said he wanted to make love'" said Nobuhle.

"He threw me into the bush' pulled my jeans off and broke my belt. I screamed for help. He said that after he raped me he would strangle me as I knew him."

Nobuhle said she thought fast.

"I told him he had to kiss me first so I'd be ready to make love. While he was kissing me I bit his tongue and held on for dear life.

"He screamed and I felt his blood in my mouth. When I was sure his tongue was hurt badly I ran off screaming'" said Nobuhle.

Luckily' she ran into a neighbourhood watch patrol.

Nobuhle' who lives with her boyfriend S'fiso Msomi (36)' said her attacker was S'fiso's friend.

S'fiso said: "He used to say I had a beautiful woman but I never thought he wanted to sleep with her."

Nobuhle said she was shocked when she went to open a case on Monday

"A cop told me that as I had injured the man's tongue I should be arrested. I felt let down and left. When I told community policing forum members' they went with me on Tuesday and a case was opened'" she said.

Captain Thulani Zwane confirmed the incident. "A case of sexual offence was opened. No arrests have been made'" he said.
