The provincial competitions for the Chibuku Road to Fame music talent search roar into life this month with the national finals set for September.
Delta Beverages, the organisers of the annual event, said preparations for the preliminary shows were at an advanced stage.
"Although we have not yet finalised on the dates everything is in order.
"We are also in the process of choosing provincial adjudicators and very soon we will be ready to roll," said Patricia Murambinda, the Delta Beverages marketing manager.
Murambinda also said winners at provincial level are set to get prizes for their efforts.
Delta Beverages will, among other things, cater for transport and accommodation for the performers.
"We are looking forward to giving big prizes at national level and that is why we are taking time to put everything into place," she said.
After the provincial competitions, winners from each province are expected to battle for the national title in September.
Club Shanga, last year's national winners will be one of the guest groups to curtain-raise at the final event.
Chibuku Road to Fame was launched in 2001 by the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe in collaboration with Delta Beverages.
The main objective of the talent search competition is to promote young aspiring musicians to interact with established artistes as well assisting them to record their music.
The noble gesture aims to promote the development of original music through the identification of groups with potential to produce material worth recording and assist winning groups in documenting their work.
Chibuku Road to Fame has grown phenomenally and has upheld its goals to foster, develop, and improve knowledge, understanding and practice of the arts and their presentation, performance, execution and exhibition to the public.
