Beitbridge woman nursing buttocks wounds after being stabbed by hubby

A Beitbridge woman, Funzani Sibanda is nursing buttocks wounds after being knifed by her hubby for catching him with another woman.

Sibanda and her husband Markson Mureva had hosted a party at their Dulibadzimu township on May 19.

After having many beers, Mureva sneaked out of the house with his girlfriend who was also at the party and found an old commuter omnibus which they concerted as a bedroom.

They started romancing and eventually had sex.

However, in the meantime Sibanda was alerted by other revelers that her hubby was having good time with a girlfriend.

She managed to trail the love birds and caught them in the act.

A dispute ensued which lead Mureva to draw out a knife and aimed for the buttocks, slicing the left side.

She suffered a deep cut and was rushed to Beitbridge District Hospital for treatment.

Appearing in court before Gloria Takundwa, Mureva was sentenced to 18 months in jail of which six were suspended for five years. The remaining 12 months were also further set aside on condition that he does 420 hours of community service at a local clinic.
