Dead boy's scalp missing

Police in Gweru are investigating circumstances in which a four-year-old boy died after allegedly complaining of stomach pains but was later discovered without his scalp.
Acting police spokesperson for Midlands, Assistant Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko, said the boy died at his parents' residence in Harben Park in Gweru on Wednesday.
"Investigations are underway to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the death of the boy. It is alleged the boy was staying with his mother and started complaining of stomach pains. He was not taken to a clinic or hospital for medication. Unfortunately he passed away on Wednesday at about 3pm.
The matter was reported to the police at about 9pm. Police attended to the scene and the body was taken to Gweru Provincial Hospital for a post-mortem. Investigations are still underway," he said.
Asst Insp Mahoko urged members of the public to speedily take their sick relatives to health institutions for medication whenever they fall ill. Scalp
