Musona struggles in the Bundesliga, set to be loaned out

GERMAN club TSG Hoffenheim will in the next days finalise a deal to loan out Knowledge Musona for next season in order to give the young striker some more playing time.

Musona has struggled to stake a regular place in the Hoffenheim line-up since joining the club in July last year from South African giants Kaizer Chiefs on a five-year deal.

It has not been all rosy for Musona during his stay in Germany as he has scored just once — the winner against FC Cologne in a German Cup second round encounter last October.

With just two games to go in the current season, Musona is however yet to find the target in the Bundesliga, where he has had to contend with making substitute appearances often coming on with only a few minutes left on the clock to make an impact.

Latest reports say new Hoffenheim manager Markus Babbel, who replaced the sacked Holger Stanislawski, is said to be on the verge of concluding a loan deal for Musona before the end of the season.

According to a South African publication, Timeslive, a deal for the Aces Youth Soccer Academy product could be reached in the next few days before the conclusion of the current Bundesliga season.

While Musona has struggled to make an impact at Hoffenheim, he has been finding the back of the net consistently for the senior national football team - the Warriors.

The talented striker scored the lone goal in the Warriors' 2-1 away loss to Burundi in their 2013 African Cup of Nations first round, first leg tie against Burundi in Bujumbura on February 29.

Musona will look to add to his tally when the Warriors return to action in the World Cup qualifiers against Guinea at home on June 3 and Mozambique in Maputo the following weekend.

He is also going to play a crucial role when the Warriors seek to overturn the 2-1 deficit they incurred against the Swallows when Burundi play Zimbabwe in Harare on June 17.
