While both Pirates and Dynamos have refused to reveal Chinyama's price-tag, the two clubs are still locked in discussions in Harare.
"We cannot give out the figures as that might jeopardise the negotiations, but what I can say is the negotiations went well and a deal is on the cards," said Dynamos chairman Keni Mubaiwa, according to KickOff.com.
Chinyama, who has banged in eight goals for Dynamos this season, has already agreed personal terms with Bucs after impressing during a trial stint.
Zimbabwean media reports suggest the 30-year-old forward, who has also played in Poland, would be paid a monthly salary of R100,000 (€10,000) if he signs with Bucs.
Pirates are looking to bargain for a reasonable transfer fee for Chinyama as they also intend to bolster their ranks with the permanent signing of South Africa striker Tokelo Rantie.
Swedish outfit IFK Hassleholm are demanding R2 million (€200,000) for Rantie, who has also attracted interest from rivals Mamelodi Sundowns.
While Rantie prefers a permanent move to Pirates, Sundowns are reportedly ready to cough up the required R2m for Rantie, one of the hottest properties in South African football.
