Zimbabwe youth international and former Prince Edward High School student, Tinotenda Chibharo is making strides with Manchester City's youth team after he was named captain of the English champions U-21 team.

Chibharo gained recognition for his exploits on the field of play by being named captain of the Manchester City youth team.

In a telephone interview from the United Kingdom, Chibharo said he was delighted to be handed the captains arm band.

By being named captain, the former Maningi FC player now leads players such as England U-21 international, John Ritson, Belgian U- 21, Modou Jacob and a host of other players who play for their countries at junior levels.

Chibharo, who earned 4 caps for the Zimbabwe U-17 soccer team, and 3 caps for Zimbabwe's U-20 side, moved to the United States in 2009 after earning a scholarship at Winthrop University where he studied business administration.

Before finishing his degree programme, Chibharo was lured by Manchester City after being scouted while playing for Winthrop University.
