Plane crash with 22kg of gold

A private plane suspected to belong to Central Air Traffic Services crashed loaded with close to 22 kilogrammes of gold in Kennilworth, Bubi district on Tuesday.
The plane had taken off from Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo International Airport in Bulawayo and headed to Charles Prince Airport in Harare.
The gold was worth about $800 000, reports indicate.
The incident happened around 2PM.
Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe (CAAZ) Acting Flight Safety Standards Director James Danga confirmed the incident.
"Two people were on board and they sustained minor injuries.
"We don't have much details on the incident yet but we have dispatched a team to the scene to conduct investigations" he said.
