HIGHLANDERS coach Erol Akbay wants to meet bitter rivals Dynamos in the finals of Independence Cup for what he believes could be a scintillating match on 18 April.

But for that to happen his team must first beat FC Platinum in the semi final of the cup to be played at Barbourfields Stadium tomorrow (Saturday) and Dembare must also win against Caps United in the other semi finals set for Harare on the same day.

"I hope to meet Dynamos in the final because I know it will be an exciting match that also celebrates a special day for this country," said Akbay.

The Bosso coach will be hoping to unleash two Democratic Republic of Congo players, winger Yves Ebabali and striker Tambwe Kalunga in the match against FC Platinum after the duo's work permits were finally released.

The club is only waiting for the Premier Soccer League to register the pair.

"Having the two players is good for the team because it gives me options in the strike force. We are ready for FC Platinum and it's good that we will be meeting them for the second time this season," he said.

If Highlanders sail past through Norman Mapeza's side they will meet the winners of the Harare derby.

The finals will be played in Harare while the 3rd and 4th place play off will be played at White City Stadium in Bulawayo.
