SOME workers at Road Motor Services (RMS) a subsidiary of National Railways of Zimbabwe (NRZ) have cried foul that they have not been paid their salaries since March this year when the lockdown was implemented due to the world wide outbreak of the coronavirus.

The disgruntled workers accused management of corruption on the grounds that they allegedly awarded themselves heft salaries taking advantage of the lockdown which resulted to many workers being forced to stay at home as a measure to curb the spread of Covid 19.

"While the company's workers are locked at home because of Covid-19 with no basics or income since they were last paid part of their meager salaries in March and haven't received anything since then, we understand the management awarded themselves hefty salaries taking advantage of the current lockdown rules," said the concerned worker.

The workers accused company's finance manager Francis Chifamba responsible for salaries and other top management officials as the major beneficiaries of the workers crisis.

However, Transport and General Workers Union (TGWU) deputy secretary General Wilson Dube said according to the union's investigations the company said it was paying all workers accordingly and the union had not yet received any complaints from workers.
