Former Higher, Tertiary, Science and Technology deputy minister Godfrey Gandawa has said it is sad that most of the citizens who survive from hand to mouth have no food that can last them two days during the 21 days national lock down.

The nation is going through the lock down for 21 days starting  on Monday in an effort to fight the spread of Covid 19.

"This video shows legitimate #lockdown concerns from the people of Zimbabwe who survive from hand to mouth daily. Their food supply will not last two days. Only true leaders can rise to the occasion and address these obvious concerns," Gandawa said.

"The President should distribute the Chinese-donated rice and beans through social services, to every rural and urban household, as we see during election campaigns where MPs distribute rice and seed. People can't starve while donated food is being hoarded for politics."
