Former CIO deputy director and Zanu-PF Beitbridge MP Albert Nguluvhe has commended the progress at the Beitbridge Border Post modernisation project which he said will create more 500 people.

Nguluvhe, who was in charge of former President Robert Mugabe's security, toured the project in the border town on Monday and was satisfied with the pace at which it is going.

"Yesterday I had the opportunity to tour Beitbridge Border Post  upgrading projects. The progress on the ground is commendable," said Nguluvhe.

"It is also pleasing to note that the ongoing civil works will create employment for more than 500 residents and also bring business opportunities for those who will be subcontracted for various services."

Nguluvhe invited more companies to invest in the border town and facilitate development.

"Besides creating employment and improving the movement of goods and travellers through the border, the contractor will also roll out several projects in Beitbridge town to promote issues of service delivery," said Nguluvhe.

"We look forward to having more companies and corporate delivering up to expectations with regards to the various ongoing infrastructure development under Beitbridge East Constituency."
