Zimbabwe's senior netball team the "Gems" have made an impressive comeback at the ongoing 2019 Africa Netball Championships following their bad start.

The Gems managed to recuperate fast after they lost their opening and second matches to the reigning African champions Uganda, and tournament hosts South Africa.

Yesterday morning the Gems thrashed Kenya 68 - 35 and later  went on to demolish Lesotho 79 - 22.

Despite playing two matches in one day the Gems showed no sign of fatigue but rather tenacity and zest not only to recover vital points but also to make Zimbabwe proud.

Regardless of having poor support from Netball Association Zimbabwe, the Gems keep on making the country proud just like what they did earlier on this year at the Netball World Cup in England.

Today the Gems once again came out victorious against Zambia, where they won 57 - 51. Ropafadzo Mutsauki Zimbabwe's coach was impressed with the manner in which the Gems have been playing, "this win is very important, it has boosted their confidence, overall the team played well."

Zimbabwe's last encounter is scheduled for tomorrow against Malawi at noon.
