A 24-YEAR-OLD Mvurwi man was jailed 6 months by Guruve resident magistrate Shingirai Mutiro yesterday for breaking into the complainant's garage and stealing a Toyota Granvia wheel.

Pardon Sahanya of house number 608 Rusununguko Township Mvurwi was jailed after full trial.

Prosecutor Carson Kundiona told the court that on February 29 Sahanya went to Forbes Kanengoni's homestead and broke into his garage where he stole a wheel from a Toyota Granvia registration number AED 3483 which was inside the vehicle.

Sahanya was caught stealing by Blessing Mayor and Dextor Brisco who ordered him to stop when he was about to leave the garage but he ran away for 70 meters carrying the wheel and eventually dropped it before fleeing.

A police report was filed at Mvurwi station leading to his arrest, in nailing the thief kundiona told the magistrate to incarcerate Sahanya since his crime was premeditated

"your worship , a short but sharp custodial sentence would suffice in these circumstances, the manner in which the offense was committed shows that it was premeditated and was a result of careful planning hence the accused deserves a brief view of the inside walls of a prison cell."
