Opposition Zapu has rapped president Emmerson Mnangagwa for delaying to lockdown Zimbabwe allowing people from covid 19 hit South Africa to come in and spread the virus before he locked down the country.

Mnangagwa yesterday night announced the 21 days lockdown with no stipends or grants for already economically chocked citizens.

"I don't understand ED and his govt. Lockdown is declared in SA, Zimbos duck it by flooding home. ED lets them in despite them coming from a hotspot of #Covid-19, only to declare a similar lockdown after and when the potentially contaminated have arrived and settled in different destinations right across the country, potentially importing the virus to Zimbabwe, a country with close to dead healthcare infrastructure, with no testing kits, no jobs, no food, no water, no adequate housing and as divided and polarised as ever," Zapu spokesperson Iphithule Maphosa said.

" Surely Zimbabweans will be killed by lack of leadership more than the corona virus."
