ZANU-PF Mashonaland East provincial member and educationist, Cleopas Kundiona has constructed a tiled grave for the late journalist Augustine Moyo.

Moyo died early this week in a freak accident in Harare and was buried yesterday at Paradise Park Cemetery in Marondera.

His burial was delayed by two hours after Kundiona, who runs UMAA Group of Colleges, offered to construct the grave using ceramic tiles, saying Moyo deserved special honour as he had raised the college's flag high as former student.

Moyo is a product of UMAA journalism school.

"We are not worried about burial time, but as UMAA, we are there to honour our products and in this case, giving Augustine a befitting burial.

"Moreover, I am the patron of journalists in this province, hence this move. Moyo deserves this kind of honour. I am like a parent to many people in Marondera, that is why I am doing everything in my capacity to help them," he said.

This is not the first time Kundiona has constructed such a grave. He did the same for his late mother in Mahusekwa some few years ago.

The late journalist worked for the Sunday Mail before joining the Zimbabwe National Road Administration as public relations officer.
