MDC Secretary for International Relations Gladys Hlatshwayo has lamented the doggy behaviour of the ruling Zanu PF government in dealing with the human rights violators making them to go scort free after killing innocent civilians.

The remarks come after three MDC activists including a legislator Joana Mamombe who were abducted and tortured by suspected security agents before being dumped in Bindura. The three have since been charged for violating lockdown despite them being in serious health condition due to torture.

Hlatshwayo said it is the tradition  of government under Zanu PF to be dogy about human rights violators since the time of late President Robert Mugabe.

"In 2000, 2 MDC activists-Tichaona Chiminya & Talent Mabika were killed in Buhera during electoral campaigns after their vehicle was petrol bombed by Joseph Mwale: a known state security agent & Tom Kainos Kitsiyatota Zimunya: a ZANU PF activist," she said.

"Justice Devittie called for the prosecution of the 2 perpetrators & described the murder as ‘a wicked act'. The 2 were shielded from accountability and Joseph Mwale was promoted to CIO head in Manicaland. Mwale died 16 yrs later without accounting for his wicked actions."
