King Lobengula Royal Family Condolence Message: The Passing on of Ikumukani, His Majesty Zwelonke Sigcawu of the Xhosa Nation

King Lobengula Royal Family in Ebudlamnondo mourn with the Xhosa nation on the passing on of their mighty Monarch. We not only know His Majesty Ikumukani Zwelonke Sigcawu, but he had become part of us in Bulawayo. The Umthwakazi Nation first knew the King when He came in 2014 as Guest of Honour at the Royal Majesty King Mzilikazi Commemoration at Mhlahlandlela in the Matopos. I personally had the honour of receiving Him at the Bulawayo Airport at which a great coincidence occured. The late Gumede of Yorville RSA handed over Her Royal Highness Princess Patricia of the mighty Zulu nation. Suddenly I had to attend to the two Royals. It was the most challenging and yet also gratifying moment in my life to introduce the two to each other and take them to the Royal venue.

The Khumalo Royal Clan members did the rare ritual of taking His Majesty King Zwelonke Sigcawu and Princess Patricia to King Mzilikazi's grave after which a beast was slaughtered for them. This is the revered place where the Khumalo Family took His Highness Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi on the 2nd April, 1996.The annual King Mzilikazi Commemoration of 2014 was indeed graced by the participation of the two Nguni Royals. The annual ceremony has since then included the Xhosa Royals led by His Highness McCloud Tshawe.

His Majesty King Zwelonke accompanied by His Highnesses Prince McLoud Tshawe, Prince Mkiva and a powerful Xhosa Royal Clan entourage, made a passionate plea and pledged support for the revival of the Umthwakazi Royal Kingdom. I personally have enjoyed with those of our King  Lobengula Family and other Khumalo Clan members being invited to meet him at Prince MacLoud Tshawe's Palace in the many times that His Majesty Ikumkane Zwelonke Sigcawu visited Bulawayo. He was fully briefed about the processes of identifying the next King of the Umthwakazi nation. He was in full support of the process leading to the Ndebele of King Mzilikazi having a legitimate Heir from King Lobengula's House.

Whilst he was in full agreement that the process takes place to finality, he stated vividly that it was a local event. It had nothing to do with him. This, he also confirmed at his Birthday Party at Municipals Club in Bulawayo in 2018.As a King he strongly refused to be abused and misunderstood. It was agreeable that he was right and entitled to give our process credence. This was the last time I and the Royal Family of the AmaNtungwa had physical contact with him.

It is thus a very sad period for the King Mzilikazi Royal Family to have learnt of his passing on. We believe it is God's calling and his ancestors are in the process of receiving his soul into the comfort of Heavenly Royalty.

To the Xhosa nation, nibe nezibindi. Nithembele kowadala iZulu nomhlaba namaKhosi ethu.Inkosi ibenani
