Mnangagwa's Zanu-PF in despair after US sanctions continuation against Zimbabwe

Dear Editor

Zimbabweans are more oppressed and we are in a full-fledged police and military state. ED Mnangagwa has not implemented any tangible reforms to align the laws with the constitution, instead he wants to make amendments to grant himself unquestioned executive powers, where he can act without parliamentary oversight.

He has shown zero respect for rule of law, citizens rights and a clear lack of political will to implement comprehensive reforms required to nurse the country back to its feet, hence the current American position. The progressive world already knows that Emmerson Mnangagwa is an unrepentant tyrant oppressing his own people merely for the want of unaccountable power.

Harsher sanctions must be imposed. Mnangagwa and his cronies should be confined in the country. That will get them to regret that they did not develop their health care system and the country as a whole or implement those necessary political reforms.

The state continues terrorising citizens, does the system of tyranny expect to be rewarded for brutalising defenceless civilians? Brutalising civilians is what's inviting sanctions. There are images and videos of these acts of state terrorism against citizens by the Zim Army and the police yet nobody has been arrested.
