Sex-on-stage dancer jailed
3 hrs ago | Views
A dancer from the Spicy Angels dance group, known only as Kim, has been sentenced to four months in prison after a video of her performing oral sex on a male patron during a nightclub performance in Epworth went viral.
The incident, which took place at Choggs Bar, shocked the public and drew widespread condemnation. In the disturbing footage, Kim is seen inviting a male reveller onto the stage, where she proceeds to pull down his trousers and underwear, performing the act in full view of the audience. The man involved in the incident also engaged in inappropriate behaviour during the performance.
Following the release of the video, which was widely shared and criticized online, Kim fled the scene after initially misleading the police by claiming she would voluntarily present herself for questioning. However, nearly a month later, she was apprehended by law enforcement officers and brought before an Epworth magistrate.
Kim was convicted of public indecency and initially sentenced to six months in prison. However, two months of the sentence were suspended on the condition of good behaviour, meaning she will serve four months in jail.
The incident sparked outrage within the local entertainment community, with the Dancers Association of Zimbabwe (DAZ) issuing a strong condemnation of Kim's actions. Harpers Mapimhidze, president of DAZ, described the dancer's conduct as disgraceful and unacceptable. "This is not only a breach of the law but also a violation of the standards we uphold in the industry," Mapimhidze said.
As part of the fallout, Kim's performance licence has been suspended, and the association has vowed to conduct further investigations. The Dancers Association also promised to take necessary actions to prevent similar incidents in the future.
The incident has raised concerns about the need for more stringent regulations governing entertainment performances, especially in light of such public misconduct.
