Deputy Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Energy Mutodi says MDC leader Nelson Chamisa is a puppet that will never rule Zimbabwe.

Mutodi was agreeing with MDC-T Vice President Obert Gutu who said, "Zimbabwe is a member state of both SADC and the AU. SADC and the AU have spoken. Pan-Africanism and Afro-optimism viciously frowns upon puppetry, neo-colonialism and neo-imperialism."

Said Mutodi,"I totally agree with Obert Gutu's views on Nelson Chamisa. Zimbabwe has its own Alfonso Dhlakamas and Savimbis. They can confuse the international community, cause anarchy and call for more sanctions but they will never rule Zimbabwe. That's the honest truth."

Obert Gutu's statements irked MDC supporters who called him a bitter attention seeker who is still recovering from the electoral loss he faced in 2018. In response Guru insisted that Chamisa is a puppet of the Western countries.

"You may shout at, and insult SADC and the AU all you want but the fact is puppets have got absolutely no traction whether it's within Africa or beyond. Puppets never last the distance, do they? You remember a puppet called Jonas Savimbi of Angola?"

Earlier on Wednesday Chamisa told his followers that they must not lose patience in the fight against ZANU PF because at the end they will prevail.

"In the history of nations and struggles of men against men, oppressors have always been fought by the oppressed. The oppressors have always, out of weakness and desperation, used weapons and brute force to suppress the oppressed's liberation effort. The oppressed ultimately prevail."Chamisa said.
