Media personality Penny Lebyane has taken to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to vent frustration at political commentator Ali Naka in a series of pointed posts, sparking a public feud that has garnered widespread attention.
Lebyane is best known as a judge on M-Net's Idols SA and for her work as a DJ on Metro FM.
Using the handle @PennyLebyaneđź’šPennyLebyaneDotAfrica, Lebyane expressed resentment over what she perceives as long-standing grievances related to parenting, financial support, and personal integrity. Her messages suggest a history of conflict with Naka, whom she accuses of failing to support their children financially, while also criticizing his alleged behavior and online presence.
“Dear @ali_naka, I am not afraid of you, have never been or will ever be," Lebyane began, adding that Naka, whom she referred to as a "fan who got lucky," was "almost the president on Twitter, not in real life."
In a series of posts, Lebyane asserted that her career has been shaped by her own efforts and sacrifices for her family, while accusing Naka of financially neglecting their children. She also claimed that he had misrepresented his affiliations with political groups and criticized his alleged involvement in her personal affairs, particularly with mutual friends.
One of her most contentious statements involved allegations of fabricated documentation, implying past legal troubles for Naka related to his entry into South Africa. Lebyane further called on Naka to "pay the school fees," stating that she’s struggling financially while she’s not working.
The posts included references to the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) and its leader Julius Malema, with Lebyane emphatically distancing Naka from the South African political party.
As of now, Ali Naka has not issued a response to the allegations, and representatives for either party have not commented on the matter.
