Econet launches US$350k Christmas promotion

Econet Wireless Zimbabwe has launched its highly anticipated 2024 Christmas Promotion under the theme "iJoy Afta Joy", offering customers the chance to win life-changing prizes worth over US$350,000. The promotion, which began over the weekend, will run until February 28, 2025.

The campaign promises weekly prizes, including cash rewards, airtime, and mobile devices, for customers who recharge with at least US$5 each week. By participating weekly throughout the promotional period, customers secure eligibility for the grand draw in February 2025.

The grand draw prizes include: Four fully equipped smart houses with solar systems and advanced security features. Four brand-new cars. Eight solar kits, smartphones, stoves, and additional prizes.

The promotion also includes exclusive opportunities for Econet shoppers, with customers purchasing smartphones from any Econet Shop automatically entered into prize draws. Business customers subscribing to the SmartBiz package also stand a chance to win big, as highlighted in the company's campaign ads.

Now in its fifth year, Econet's Christmas Promotion has become a festive season highlight for many Zimbabweans. The initiative has consistently delivered life-changing rewards, with last year's campaign seeing eight customers win smart homes and thousands of others receiving smartphones, solar kits, airtime, and more.

Econet's Chief Marketing Officer, speaking at the launch, emphasized the company's commitment to rewarding customer loyalty:

The "iJoy Afta Joy" campaign is expected to energize the holiday season, reinforcing Econet's reputation as a customer-focused brand while celebrating the spirit of giving.

To qualify, customers need to recharge with a minimum of US$5 weekly. With draws taking place throughout the promotional period, participants are encouraged to stay consistent to maximize their chances of winning.
