Drunk man opens coffin at funeral

There was drama at Bernette compound in Concession where a drunk man forced his way on a coffin and opened it for no apparent reason.
The matter came to light at Concession Magistrates on Friday where Paradzai Pinjisi (33) appeared before the court.
He was slapped with a four-month effective sentence.
Prosecutor Munyaradzi Nengomasha told the court that on November 25 Pinjiri arrived at a funeral in a compound in Concession and forced his way to the coffin where he opened it.
He caused mayhem at the funeral as he was highly intoxicated with an illicit beer popularly known as Twumbwa.
A police report was filed leading to his arrest.
