Charges against Ian Khama dropped

Former President of Botswana, Ian Khama, has announced that the criminal charges against him for illegal possession of firearms have been dropped.

Khama, who recently returned to Botswana after three years in self-imposed exile, had faced multiple charges, including money laundering and illegal firearm possession.

The 71-year-old had previously alleged a plot to poison him should he return to the country.
