Man throws away wife's cooked green maize

In a domestic violence case, a 44-year-old caused a scene at a marketplace in Plumtree where he followed his wife who was cooking maize cobs for resale, threw away the pot, switched off the fire and threatened to assault her.
The matter came to light at Plumtree magistrates courts where Irvine Chapwanya appeared before Magistrate Joshua Nembaware.
The state alleged on January 13 Chapwanya followed his wife at the marketplace place found her cooking maize cobs for resale.
He threw the pot away, switched off the fire and grabbed a wooden log threatening to assault his wife.
She pushed the husband away and fled from the scene.
A police report was filed leading to the arrest of the suspect.
The matter continues on January 20, Selestine Madziwa prosecuted.
