Tanzanian topflight football powerhouse, Young Africans (Yanga SC), continued their dominant run in the league on Wednesday evening, with Warriors striker Prince Dube starring in a 6-1 victory over KenGold FC.
Known as Mgadafi, Dube found the back of the net twice, scoring in the 16th and 56th minutes, to help his side cruise to a commanding win. The attacking forward was in superb form, putting on a performance that left the opposition struggling to keep up.
Yanga's dominance was evident from the start as they went into the halftime break leading 4-0, with KenGold FC unable to find an answer to their relentless attack. The defending champions added two more goals in the second half, further asserting their superiority, although KenGold managed to salvage a consolation goal late in the game.
The win saw Yanga stretch their lead at the top of the Tanzanian Premier League table to 45 points, two points ahead of second-placed Simba SC, who are on 43 points with a game in hand.
Dube's brace helped extend Yanga's unbeaten run to nine consecutive league matches. With the team riding high on form, a victory against JKT Tanzania this weekend will see them notch ten straight wins in the league — a testament to their remarkable consistency and ambition.
As the Tanzanian champions continue to impress, Dube's contribution has been invaluable in helping Yanga SC maintain their place at the summit of the league standings.
