A Harare businessman, Musa Muteteli, is reportedly living in fear after a bouncer from Dzivarasekwa allegedly threatened to kill him and kidnap his children. The accused, Malcom Sikitara (42), appeared before Harare magistrate Ms. Ethel Chichera on charges of making death threats.

The court heard that on February 8, 2025, Sikitara went to Muteteli's workplace in Belvedere, Harare, where he allegedly issued threats to kill Muteteli and abduct his children. According to the State, the threats have been persistent, leaving Muteteli fearful for his life and the safety of his family.

Sikitara was remanded out of custody and is set to return to court on February 27 for routine remand proceedings.

The case highlights concerns over personal security and the growing instances of intimidation and threats in business circles. Authorities are expected to investigate the matter further to ensure justice is served and Muteteli's safety is guaranteed.
