Man rapes own sister, father keeps it a family secret

In a shocking incident a 22-year-old Plumtree man allegedly raped his own sister and his father kept the crime a secret after being informed.
The suspect who cannot be named to protect the victim was dragged to Plumtree magistrates courts yesterday where he appeared before magistrate Joshua Nembaware.
He was remanded in custody to February 26.
The state alleged on February 6 the accused called his sister to his bedroom and begged for sex and she refused.
He forced himself on the seventeen year old sister and rapped her.
On February 11 the complainant narrated the case to her aunt who latter told her father but the father decided to keep the rape a family secret.
Police officers received a tip off and acted swiftly.
