Hubby axes cheating wife, drinks poison

A 42-year-old Bindura man allegedly failed to control his temper and axed his wife on the hand after he discovered her cheating habits.
The matter came to light at Bindura magistrate courts yesterday, where Shame Nyamurwa was remanded on his hospital bed after he consumed poison and was hospitalized after the crime.
Magistrate Tinashe Ndokera said he is suicidal, hence he should remain in the hospital.
The state led by Chipo Chinoda alleged that on May 3, the accused arrived at his house and gave his satchel to his wife, Sarah Chigona (32), and she started searching the satchel.
The husband picked up an axe and accused his wife of cheating. He struck her on the hand before consuming poison.
