ZIFA disowns job advertisement for Technical Director post
7 hrs ago | Views

The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has issued a strong public warning against a fake job advertisement circulating on social media and other unofficial platforms, falsely claiming that the position of Technical Director is vacant.
In an official statement released on Thursday, ZIFA discredited the fraudulent notice and emphasized that it has not advertised such a vacancy. The association expressed concern over the circulation of the misleading information and cautioned the public to ignore it in its entirety.
"ZIFA would like to remind the public that all official communication from the Association is disseminated exclusively through its official communication platforms," the statement read.
The football governing body urged stakeholders and members of the public to verify any job postings or official notices by cross-checking with announcements made on its website and verified social media accounts.
ZIFA did not specify who was behind the fake advertisement but warned that legal action may be taken against individuals or groups found to be peddling false information using the association's name.
The statement concluded with an assurance that any genuine opportunities or vacancies would be clearly communicated in line with the association's standard procedures.
The Technical Director position remains filled, and no recruitment process is underway.
