Gold ore thief in trouble

A 26-year-old man from Plumtree is in trouble after he allegedly stole 25 kilograms of gold ore from his employer.
The matter came to light at Plumtree magistrates' courts, where Freeman Sisiya appeared before Magistrate Joshua Nembaware.
He was granted $20 bail and remanded to June 2.
The state led by Selestine Madziwa alleged on May 2, around 02:00 hours Sisiya advised his colleague, Trust Nyoni that he wanted to steal some gold ore from Lonestar mine in Matopo.
The accused went on to switch off the electricity to avoid CCTV from capturing him.
After there was total darkness, he stole the gold ore.
A police report was filed, leading to his arrest.
