ZPA urges Mnangagwa to address road carnage in the country

Zimbabwe Passengers Association Secretary general Paul Makiwa has appealed to President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his government to try and address road carnage mostly caused by poor road networks and human error.
Makiwa made tw remarks following a KWEKWE accident that recently claimed lives in the Midlands.
"We were shocked to learn that 12 passengers perished in Kwekwe road accident at a know black spot where many people have lost lives," Makiwa said.
"It was a great loss to the State , relatives , friends and to all passengers, may the Lord comfort us in grieving times like these. We wish a speedy recovery to the injured."
Makiwa appealed to Mnangangwa and the national spiritualists to conduct cleansing ceremonies at those black spots and also to rehabilitate roads to as to avert recurrence of accidents.He also asked Minister of Transport Felix Mhona to spread up the provision of the road accident fund to assist in case of such disasters.
He said the Gus must benefit the accident victims and wondered who could be benefiting from it since Thu have been many concerns by victims that they were not getting anything.
"The victims should not suffer while the Fund is there and is already availed," he said.
