Woman bites husband's ear, pulls privates

A 29-year-old woman from Victoria Falls has been sentenced to six months imprisonment after violently assaulting her husband by biting his ear and pulling his private parts.

Blessing Kachenga, who resides in Mkhosana, Victoria Falls, appeared before the court charged with assault. However, three months of her sentence were suspended for five years on condition of good behavior, and the remaining three months were suspended on condition that she completes 105 hours of community service at the Victoria Falls Court.

Prosecutor Mrs. Portia Moyo told the court that the incident occurred in the early hours of May 25, 2025. According to Mrs. Moyo, Kachenga and her husband had a disagreement at their home in Mkhosana around 2 a.m. During the argument, Kachenga bit her husband once on the right ear and then proceeded to pull his private parts.

The husband reported the incident to the police, which led to Kachenga's arrest and subsequent court proceedings.

The court's sentencing balances punishment with rehabilitation, giving Kachenga the opportunity to avoid full imprisonment by demonstrating good behavior and completing community service.
