Castle Lager Premier Soccer League newcomers MWOS FC continued their sensational debut season with a thrilling 2-1 comeback victory over Harare giants CAPS United on Thursday afternoon, stretching their unbeaten run to an impressive 16 matches.

The win not only solidified MWOS FC's status as serious title contenders but also saw them reclaim top spot on the league table with 34 points, two ahead of reigning champions Simba Bhora. The team now remains one of only two unbeaten sides in the league this season, alongside FC Platinum.

Despite falling behind early to a 14th-minute goal by CAPS United's Mabiala, MWOS showed grit and character to fight back. Auther Banda restored parity in the 34th minute, before Innocent Zambezi sealed the victory with a well-taken strike in the 56th minute.

Speaking after the match, MWOS head coach Lloyd Mutasa praised his youthful squad for their resilience and belief.

"The feeling is always great, we've done this before," Mutasa said.

"I've said it before - we told these youngsters that football is never over until it's over. When they're at home, they need to push until the very end. They did exactly that, and we got the result."

The result has heightened MWOS FC's fairytale run, with their consistent form turning heads across the league. The spirited comeback against one of Zimbabwe's most storied clubs is being seen as a statement of intent in their pursuit of glory.
