Man steals battery from Botswana

A 44-YEAR-OLD Zimbabwean man is in soup after an alleged stolen lithium battery sold him out.

Ozious Dube was dragged to Plumtree magistrates courts on Thursday where he appeared before magistrate Joshua Nembaware.

Nembaware remanded him in custody to May 20.

The state led by Selestine Madziwa alleged on May 2 Botswana police received a report of theft batteries from Moscom Company, Botswana.

On May 15 the company being represented by Gonyadisweng Rachere tracked the stolen battery and it indicated that it was in Zimbabwe.

A police report was filed at Mphoeng station leading to the arrest of Dube.
