Man arrested after stolen battery found in his bedroom

A Plumtree man has landed in trouble after allegedly stealing a battery and hiding it in his bedroom.
The incident came to light at the Plumtree Magistrates' Court yesterday, where Micho Mugande appeared before Magistrate Joshua Nembaware. He was granted bail of $30.
The state, represented by Voster Makuwerere, alleged that sometime in November, the accused unlawfully entered Nobetina Dube's house and stole a solar battery and an amplifier.
On December 16, Dube discovered her stolen property at Mugande's house and promptly filed a police report. This led to the suspect's arrest.
The stolen property, valued at 4,500 rands, was recovered in full.
